\n History Alumnus Dr. Stacey Zembrzycki Shortlisted for Award\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

History alumnus, Dr. Stacey Zembrzycki’s (PhD, 2007) book, According to Baba: A Collaborative Oral History of Sudbury’s Ukrainian Community<\/em> (UBC Press, 2014)<\/a>, has been shortlisted for a Kobzar Literary Award<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Baba<\/em> grew out of Dr. Zembrzycki’s PhD dissertation at Carleton University in the Department of History under the supervision of Dr. Marilyn Barber<\/a> and Dr. John C. Walsh<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since completing her PhD, Zembrzycki has gone on to become an Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Department of History at Concordia University. She is an award-winning oral and public historian of ethnic, immigrant, and refugee experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
