\n Film Night Thursday April 7: HIST 4302 students present documentaries\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

The students in Michael Ostroff’s class, HIST 4302 \u2013 \u201cCanada: Ideas & Culture \u2013 Making Documentary History,\u201d<\/a> will be presenting their final documentaries on April 7th, 2015, at 7:00pm in 100 St. Patrick\u2019s Building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The screening will be adjudicated by Professors Dominique Marshall, David Dean and Pamela Walker. “We have four outstanding works,” Ostroff noted. “The jury will be tested!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winners will be announced at a reception following the screening.  They will receive an an award at the Underhill Undergraduate History Colloquium on Friday April 8 at 1:30 PM in the History Lounge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All are welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Extraordinary Measures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pierre Laporte is dead. James Cross is missing. Under the War Measures Act, 465 people will be arrested and held without charge. Legacy is a documentary that asks the question, who were the kidnap victims?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
