It was listed in &#8220;The Best Books on Drink of 2016&#8221; by <em>The Guardian <\/em>(UK), with the comment, &#8220;almost every page contains a gem.&#8221; It&nbsp;also won &#8220;Best Wine History Book&#8221; published in the USA at the Gourmand Food and Drink Awards 2017&nbsp;in China, in December, the citation reading, \u201cThis book reads like a novel, with new suspense in the plot in every chapter.
