in the journal <em>Slavery &amp; Abolition. &nbsp;<\/em>Her article proposes a methodology that better enables historians to engage with contemporary issues such as human trafficking. &nbsp;This is part of her larger project <em>History as Weapon: Writing Radical Caribbean Histories. &nbsp;<\/em>In 2018, &nbsp;Dr. Diptee will&nbsp;be developing her ideas on history and modern-day slavery further at the Bellagio Center in Italy as she was recently awarded a Rockefellar Residency Writing Fellowship.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Professor Audra Diptee has recently published an article entitled &#8220;The Problem of Modern Day Slavery: Is Critical Applied History the Answer?&#8221;
