Congratulations to the 10 outstanding educators who received an award this year, including History Professor Danielle Kinsey!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teaching and Learning Services and the Office of the Provost and Vice-President (Academic) are pleased to announce the outstanding educators who have been named 2019 Carleton University Teaching Award winners.

<\/p>\n

John Stead<\/a> (Department of Neuroscience), Anne Tr\u00e9panier<\/a> (School of Indigenous and Canadian Studies) and Winnie Ye<\/a> (Department of Electronics) have received the Provost\u2019s Fellowship in Teaching Award for their leadership and commitment to teaching and learning. They have also been designated as Carleton University teaching fellows.<\/p>\n

Achim Hurrelmann<\/a> (Department of Political Science & Institute of European, Russian and Eurasian Studies) and Danielle Kinsey<\/a> (Department of History) were also honoured with the Excellence in Blended and Online Teaching Award for their exceptional impact on student learning in blended and online environments.<\/p>\n

There were so many strong applications for the New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award that the selection committee added an extra winner this year, for a total of four recipients: Sonia Gulati<\/a> (Department of Health Sciences), Rishad Irani<\/a> (Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering), Omair Shafiq<\/a> (School of Information Technology) and Ai Taniguchi<\/a> (School of Linguistics and Language Studies).<\/p>\n

The Excellence in Learning Support Award goes to Fiona Wright<\/a> (Student and Public Programs Coordinator \u2013 Carleton University Art Gallery) for her outstanding contribution to the student learning experience.<\/p>\n
