Congratulations Lorie-Ann!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Savard is herself a member of the Canadian Forces. She joined as a student, attracted by an offer of a full-time summer job and part-time hours the rest of the year. Her job as a signals intelligence specialist requires her to intercept radio transmissions and analyze them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She credits Carleton\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.carleton.ca\/history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Department of History<\/a> with helping her secure a position at Transport Canada as a historical researcher, where she worked on an online tool to search historical vessel registrations.
