While in Spain Professor Nelles will be undertaking research for a project on the mobility of religious objects in the early modern world. On March 12 he presented his research at a workshop held at the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid on the topic of &#8220;Globalidad, religi\u00f3n y consumo a trav\u00e9s de productos sacros entre Espa\u00f1a, Asia y Am\u00e9rica Latina, 1580-1824&#8221; (Globality, religion and consumption through sacred products between Spain, Asia and Latin America, 1580\u20131824).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.casadevelazquez.org\">https:\/\/www.casadevelazquez.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.madrid-ias.eu\/\">https:\/\/www.madrid-ias.eu\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Professor Paul Nelles has taken up residency as a Fran\u00e7ois Chevalier Fellow at the Madrid Institute for Advanced Study, housed in the Casa de Vel\u00e1zquez in Madrid.
