\n Lauren Stoyles Receives The Lieutenant Governor’s Ontario Heritage Awards for 2025\n <\/h1>\n \n \n \n\n

Lauren is pursuing a Master of Public History degree at Carleton University. Her capstone research project is a documentary film about the creation and achievements of the Women in Heritage and Museums (WHAM) network founded in Britain in the mid 1980s.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Lauren Stoyles<\/a> has spent over a decade preserving and sharing the history of Ontario. She has been an interpreter, researcher, archival assistant, collections manager and volunteer board member across several Ontario museums and heritage organizations. Feminist history is a particular interest for Lauren, and her recent projects include a documentary short on the 1978 women-led Fleck Strike in Centralia, Ontario, as well as a digital exhibit on women\u2019s contributions to the history of printing. Lauren is pursuing a Master of Public History degree at Carleton University, focusing on gender equity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
