{"id":21703,"date":"2021-01-29T15:57:36","date_gmt":"2021-01-29T20:57:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/hr\/?post_type=cu-kb-faqs&#038;p=21703"},"modified":"2024-07-28T16:57:58","modified_gmt":"2024-07-28T20:57:58","slug":"where-can-i-access-my-leave-balance","status":"publish","type":"cu_description","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/hr\/description\/where-can-i-access-my-leave-balance\/","title":{"rendered":"Where can I access my leave balance?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>You can view your current leave balance by logging into <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/central.carleton.ca\/\">Carleton Central<\/a><\/strong>, going to the <strong>Employee Services<\/strong> tab, and then clicking <strong>Leave Information<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"general-information\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">General Information<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The amounts shown on your balance indicate the leave you have taken within a one year period beginning July 1 and ending June 30. Any leave that transfers over from a prior year will appear in the beginning balance column.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currency of data is subject to timely submission and processing of monthly leave forms by departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that all balances are reported in&nbsp;<strong>days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"annual-leave\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Annual Leave<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Annual leave balances are updated on the 17th of each month, and represent your balance as of the&nbsp;<em>end of the previous month.<\/em>&nbsp;(e.g. On&nbsp;<strong>January 17<\/strong>, your leave balances will display data&nbsp;<em>as at<\/em>&nbsp;the&nbsp;<strong>end of December<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Annual leave balances include your monthly accrual as well as any leave taken that has been entered by your department&#8217;s leave administrator. If you have questions regarding your leave balance, please contact your department&#8217;s leave administrator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"overtime\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overtime<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Overtime earned represents the number of hours accumulated as time off in lieu of payment.
