In an effort to facilitate the on-boarding of new employees, the new casual employee documentation process at Carleton University no longer requires a physical verification of birth date and Social Insurance Number for Canadian citizens or permanent residents. All forms are also <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/hr\/new-employees\/new-casual-employees\/\">fillable pdf files online<\/a> and can be submitted via secure email to <a href=\"mailto:humanresources@carleton.ca\">HR<\/a>. Instructions on how to submit forms can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/hr\/cu-faq\/where-do-i-submit-the-forms\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Temporary residents will still need to provide proof of their SIN, in the form of a SIN card or letter of confirmation, for verification. These SINs begin with a \u201c9\u201d and have an expiry date, which needs to be written in the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/hr\/cu_file\/employee-information-form\/\">Employee Information Form<\/a> and submitted with a valid immigration document authorizing them to work in Canada (Study Permit or Work Permit) to be verified by HR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any questions or concerns, please contact <a href=\"mailto:humanresources@carleton.ca\">humanresources@carleton.ca<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good news!
