The reinstatement includes the same reimbursement rates and the same coverage criteria that existed prior to the cancellation of the OHIP out-of-country Travelers&#8217; program earlier in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What you need to know<\/strong><br>\nGoing forward, when submitting OOC claims to Canada Life\u2122 you&#8217;ll be required to complete the Provincial third-party agreement form (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatwestlife.com\/content\/dam\/gwl\/cl-branded-documents-2020\/out-of-country-claims\/en\/M5500.pdf\">M5500<\/a>) in addition to the Statement of claim out-of-country expense form <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatwestlife.com\/content\/dam\/gwl\/cl-branded-documents-2020\/out-of-country-claims\/en\/M5432(HO).pdf\">M5432(HO)<\/a> for all eligible OOC emergency medical expenses if you&#8217;re an Ontario resident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have questions regarding your out-of-country emergency medical coverage, please call Canada Life at 1-800-957-9777.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A message from Canada Life: The government of Ontario has reinstated the OHIP coverage for out-of-country (OOC) emergency hospital, health facility and doctor services retroactively to Jan. 1, 2020.
