Today, Carleton was named a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadastop100.com\/2023\/over40-release.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Top Employer for Canadians over 40<\/a>, further recognition of its commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming work environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In November, Carleton was recognized as a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadastop100.com\/national\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Top 100 Employer<\/a>&nbsp;in Canada for the first time and one of only four post-secondary institutions to receive this award. While there is a single application for the national competition, employers are also considered for 18 regional and special-interest competitions, including: Top Family-Friendly Employer, National Capital Region\u2019s Top Employer and Canada\u2019s Greenest Employer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Canada\u2019s Top 100 Employers is an annual national competition that determines which employers lead their industries in offering exceptional workplaces. Comparable organizations are reviewed and evaluated to establish which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs. They are assessed using eight criteria: physical workspace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employer communications; performance management; and training and skills development.
