Congratulations, Emily &amp; Rebecca!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sites of Memory: Legacies of the Japanese Canadian Internment <\/strong>where the histories, impacts and legacies of the Canadian government\u2019s internment of Japanese Canadians during World War II are powerfully considered in video, installation and works on paper by three contemporary artists of Japanese-Canadian ancestry: Norman Takeuchi, Emma Nishimura and Cindy Mochizuki. Curated by PhD Cultural Mediations student E. Putnam.<\/li>\n<li>In spring 1988, Japanese Canadians marched on Parliament Hill to pressure the government to acknowledge and offer compensation for their internment during World War II.\u00a0 <strong>Inheriting Redress: The Ottawa Japanese Community Association Archive<\/strong> surveys the redress campaign\u2019s visual culture, telling stories through objects loaned by the Ottawa Japanese Community Association and activists involved in the landmark effort (from <a href=\"http:\/\/cuag.ca\/\">cuag.ca\/<\/a>). Curated by PhD Cultural Mediations student E. Putnam and former Centre for Transnational Cultural Analysis Postdoc R.
