Seminars once a week for 3 hours. <strong>The University may require that all or part of this course be delivered remotely, including online.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Required Academic Qualifications and Skills: Applicants must hold at least an M.A. in a relevant discipline, with preference given to applicants holding a Ph.D.<\/li>\n<li>Teaching Competence: Applicants must demonstrate teaching experience at the graduate level in the subject area, with preference given to candidates familiar with experiential learning.<\/li>\n<li>Other Relevant Experience: Candidates must demonstrate substantial professional experience with curatorial practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WINTER 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>CURA 5001 [0.5 credit], Curatorial Studies Pro-seminar: Visual Arts Stream, one section<br \/>\n<\/strong>Practical examination of art exhibition practices; site visits and workshops designed to help students develop curatorial skills and navigate the museum world. This course trains students in the core competencies of curatorial practice. Lectures once a week for 3 hours. Includes: Experiential Learning Activity. <strong>The University may require that all or part of this course be delivered remotely, including online.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Required Academic Qualifications and Skills: Applicants must hold at least an M.A. in a relevant discipline, with preference given to applicants holding a Ph.D.<\/li>\n<li>Teaching Competence: Applicants must demonstrate teaching experience at the graduate level in the subject area, with preference given to candidates familiar with experiential learning.<\/li>\n<li>Other Relevant Experience: Candidates must demonstrate substantial professional experience with curatorial practices, preferably in relation to the visual arts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 2\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><strong>CURA 5013 [0.5 credit], Directed Exhibition Proposal, one section<br \/>\n<\/strong>Project-oriented course focused on an immersive engagement with institutional curatorial\u00a0practices. Completion and presentation of an individual exhibition proposal for submission to a\u00a0professional institution. Stage-by-stage approach covering all required aspects of proposal\u00a0submission.
