\"\"<\/a>The Institute is pleased to continue its support of CUAG’s “Disruptions: Dialogues on Disability Art” series. CUAG invites you to join a talk and workshop by artist Sarah Mihara Creagen on Zoom on November 18, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>This is the ninth event in CUAG\u2019s \u201cDisruptions: Dialogues on Disability Art\u201d series, intended to generate dialogue about contemporary art as a force for challenging ableism.\u00a0<\/span>You can find more information about this event on the CUAG website\u00a0here<\/a>. Please register\u00a0<\/span>here<\/a>. The first 40 people to register will get a\u00a0<\/span>free soil testing kit.<\/span><\/p>\n

What do healing and repair look like in sick bodies?\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The Queer Toronto-based artist Sarah Mihara Creagen has been reflecting on this question in relation to her personal experiences of Crohn\u2019s disease, which includes chronic illness, disability, surgery and long-term infusion medication.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this talk and workshop, Sarah will visually explore modes of bioremediation, queer transformations through medication and relationships between plant time and crip time.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
