World Design Organization launches call for submissions for World Design Impact Prize 2021

Montreal (Canada), 13 January 2021 — World Design Organization (WDO)® is pleased to announce the call for submissions for the World Design Impact Prize™ 2021, which aims to recognize industrial design-driven projects that have a positive impact on our social, economic, cultural or environmental quality of life.

Interested parties are invited to submit project details via the online form at www.wdo.org/wdip no later than 30 April 2021. Additionally, WDO is also accepting nominations for projects until 31 March by individuals who do not have a project of their own to submit, but who know of one that would be deserving of this recognition.

“While we realize that there are a number of awards that showcase the social benefits of design, the World Design Impact Prize is unique in its attempt to not only seek out projects and recognize them for their solutions-based ability, but to bridge the gap between problems and solutions, design and purpose,” stated WDO President Srini Srinivasan. “Win or lose, through the process of this call, we hope to not only find outstanding examples of design-led innovation, but to leverage our voice as an international organization to shine a spotlight on products and projects that have an impactful story to share about the communities they affect, the challenges they address and ultimately the difference they are making in the lives of everyday people.”
