This was my first time taking a human rights course so it was a wonderful learning experience. The courses provided me the skills and lessons I have always wanted to learn about the world. The professors encouraged questions to provoke critical thinking to look for solutions. They have made the program enjoyable and have supported me in my current and future endeavours. What I will take away from my experience is how people from all different walks of life and positionalities come together to engage in social justice work in solidarity with one another. The best lesson I learnt from a fellow student was to approach my work with an open mind and open heart, because it is then, that true transformative change is possible.
