DrSantiTechniques for enhancing risk consciousness of MSMEs in India: An Experiential Approach

Dr. Santi is actively involved in counseling entrepreneurs and Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) for last 10 years. He is in-charge of Business Advisory Clinic (BAC) an initiative under the guidance of Prof. Prem Saran Satsangi Sahab, Chairman Advisory Committee on Education, Dayalbagh, India.

Over the last 10 years, he has been actively involved in advising about 8,000+ MSME cases. The objective of BAC is to advise to clients at the same time develop case studies for the benefit of management students. Number of short case studies were developed and published in various national and international journals and conferences.

Some of the techniques which are being used for the benefit of MSMEs that will be discussed in this talk are:

  1. Multiple Case Study approach in developing risk consciousness
  2. Using Dayalbagh Business Expert System (DEBEX) for counseling MSME clients
  3. Application of Rasch model for understanding conscious choice in investment decisions of entrepreneurs
  4. Application of Monte Carlo simulation for Risk analysis
