President and Founder of Balcorp Limted<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. Baljit Singh Chadha, is President and founder of Balcorp Limited, an international trade and marketing firm. He is also a well known philanthropist and a leader of the Sikh community in Canada.<\/p>\n

Mr. Chadha immigrated to Canada in 1973 from India to study Business Administration. He founded Balcorp in 1976, building it into a $50 million concern with offices in Montreal, New Delhi and Mumbai. His international trading company has varied interests that include agricultural food products, processed foods, forestry products, and minerals.\u00a0 In 2003, Mr. Chadha was appointed by Prime Minister Jean Chr\u00e9tien to the Security Intelligence Review Committee as well as to the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada.<\/p>\n

Mr. Chadha graduated from\u00a0Bombay University\u00a0with a Bachelor of Science degree. He later obtained a MBA from\u00a0Concordia University.\u00a0\u00a0He is one of the Directors of the Canada India Business Council (C-IBC), and\u00a0has sat on the Board of Governors of\u00a0Concordia University\u00a0since 2002.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
