Within three decades in Canada, he has partnered and built several stellar performing companies. Two of them, SkyLink Aviation and SkyLink Travel Group were sold in their peak years in 2011 and 2008 respectively to US private equity funds.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, he and his partners have SkyLink Express domestic small cargo aviation, with a fleet of 22 aircrafts in Canada and a food manufacturing business &#8211; Highbury Canco. Highbury Canco purchased the Heinz Leamington plant in Ontario. The company started with 250 employees, and today they have over 550 employees.<\/p>\n<p>Other past SkyLink businesses included Master franchise rights for Dollar Rent A Car, airport security, operations, software development.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Babra is a recipient of many awards, including\u00a0 Mother Teresa Humanitarian of the Year Award,\u00a0 B\u2019nai Brith Canada\u2019s \u201cAward of Merit\u201d, Gulland Excellence Award,\u00a0 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, Transformation Enterprise Award, \u201cWorld Travel Mart\u201d Award in the UK. \u201cNavigator Award \u201d and much more.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Babra is well known for his philanthropic activities and helps children through his \u201cSkyLink Children\u2019s Charity&#8221;.\u00a0 He has been profiled in many papers, magazines and books.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chairman and CEO, SkyLink Capital Corp.
