\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and BITS, Pelani \u2013 Hyderabad Campus:<\/strong> Following a visit to BITS in 2010, an agreement has been signed that includes the design and implementation of graduate and undergraduate student co-op and research internships, joint\/dual master\u2019s and doctoral programs in Engineering, Science and Business and on-site corporate executive training in selected Indian cities, including via online and blended learning.<\/li>\n<li><strong>University of Delhi:<\/strong> On the basis of faculty research collaboration, an agreement has been in place since January 2009 that includes student exchange, faculty exchange and research collaboration in the discipline of Philosophy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI):<\/strong> Following a meeting in 2010, a MOU was drafted to facilitate collaboration to enhance economic development through international trade and partnerships between companies, research institutes and universities. Includes research projects, internships and conference participation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Central University of Gujarat and Karnataka:<\/strong> Monitoring and development work with these two institutions are underway.<\/li>\n<li><strong>ICCR Visiting Chair:<\/strong> The Indian Council for Cultural Relations has established a Visiting Chair at Carleton focused on India-related studies in partnership with the Canada-India Centre for Excellence in Science, Technology, Trade and Policy. The MOU governing the Visiting Chair in the field of humanities and social sciences was signed in January 2011.<\/li>\n<li><strong>IIT, Mumbai:<\/strong> Recent meetings with the Director of Carleton\u2019s Business School resulted in endorsement for an MOU which will be primarily for research and faculty exchange.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata:<\/strong> Carleton\u2019s MOU with the Institute is established on the basis of faculty research collaboration capacity building and other forms of academic partnerships in the designated areas of Computer Science, Statistics and Mathematics.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jai Hind College:<\/strong> Following recent mutual visits between Carleton and Jai Hind, discussions are progressing with the Sprott School of Business regarding the possibility of offering an MBA program at Jai Hind.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jindal Global University (JGU):<\/strong> Unlike many Indian graduate schools, JGU wants to make research their focus including adding PhD programs on top of masters programs. Very strong leadership and full financial backing from Jindal Group (leaders in Steel and Power).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mody Institute of Technology and Science:<\/strong> A memorandum of understanding to facilitate and promote faculty co-operation, with a view to supporting research collaboration, capacity building and other forms of academic partnership has been signed. This collaboration may include: a faculty development program at MITS, the provision of courses at MITS at the graduate level in engineering and courses designed for specific industry needs and research collaboration.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ontario-Maharashtra-Goa Student Exchange Program:<\/strong> This is a multilateral student exchange program. Carleton University consistently has the highest participation rate among the Ontario universities involved in this program. The program includes Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, University of Pune, Indian Law Society Law College &#8211; Pune, Shivaji University, Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women\u2019s University, St. Xavier\u2019s College, Jai Hind College, Vishwakarma Institute Of Technology, Goa University, Birla Institute of Technology and Science &#8211; Pilani.<\/li>\n<li><strong>University of Petroleum and Energy Studies:<\/strong> Following their visit to Carleton in 2010, a memorandum of understanding was signed in early 2011 pertaining to the facilitation and promotion research collaboration, faculty training and mentoring, faculty exchange and other forms of academic partnerships in the designated areas of Renewable Energy and Aerospace Engineering. Joint development of a Sustainable Energy Mission from Canada comprised of academy and industry delegates hosted by UPES is also underway.<\/li>\n<li><strong>University of Pune:<\/strong> The University of Pune is a key partner in the Ontario-Maharashtra-Goa Student Exchange Program.
