\"\"India has the fastest growing economy in the world. Within a few years, with two-thirds of its citizens under the age of 35, it will also have the youngest population on the planet.<\/p>\n

The current generation of Indian university students \u2014 fluent in English and focused on entrepreneurship, technology and innovation \u2014\u00a0will increasingly compete with Canadians in the global market.<\/p>\n

But if Canadian youth can develop a deeper understanding of India\u2019s culture and economy, and get to know their peers on the other side of the planet, they will be able to tap into business, employment and partnership opportunities that reflect this new global reality.<\/p>\n

That was the overarching goal of Carleton University\u2019s inaugural\u00a0India Study Tour<\/a>\u00a0organized by the university\u2019s\u00a0Canada-India Centre for Excellence<\/a>\u00a0(CICE) \u2014\u00a0a research\u00a0and training centre that promotes bilateral ties between the two countries \u2014 which brought nine undergraduate students to Mumbai and Bengaluru for two weeks earlier this spring.<\/p>\n
