In response to the report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), Carleton University established a committee to gain insights into how Carleton could enhance support for Indigenous students, increase the incorporation of Indigenous knowledge traditions in teaching and learning practices, and improve community engagement. \u00a0In May 2020, the committees\u2019 final report, entitled Kin\u00e0m\u00e0gawin: Learning Together<\/a>, was published. It included recommendations and 41 Carleton-specific Calls to Action.<\/p>\n

In 2021, guided by its goal to cultivate the enterprising spirit of business in order to foster shared prosperity and advance equity and justice for all, the Sprott School of Business created the International Centre for Indigenous Innovation and Enterprise (ICIIE) to support Indigenous business and economic development and foster self-determination, self-governance and sovereignty. \u00a0The Centre will engage with Indigenous communities across Canada and globally to co-generate and co-design research, skills and capabilities that resonate with community needs and foster community health and well-being.
