Collaborative Indigenous Learning Bundles<\/h2>\n

Designed as both a resource for instructors and learning tool for students to use in the classroom, the Bundles provide the necessary factual and theoretical basis for understanding Indigenous history and politics in Canada, while also prompting students to consider how this knowledge might be applied in their area of study. Most Bundles include a lesson from an Indigenous expert followed by an audio or video interview with an Indigenous Knowledge Keeper. Each Bundle, produced and delivered by Indigenous experts, is formatted as a Brightspace lesson, addressing issues and topics relevant to Indigenous peoples.<\/p>\n

This 360-degree cinematic Longhouse experience surrounds students with the sights and sounds of Seneca land. They are welcomed as visitors with a ceremony at the edge of the forest and then invited into the Longhouse village. It is a powerful and low-tech entry point into VR, which can serve as a valuable conversation starter for in-class discussions and assignments. This 3D VR Longhouse experience offers students an immersive, interactive learning opportunity. Learners wander and learn within a virtual Haudenosaunee environment. Guided by the instructor, learners engage with natural and cultural elements in a Seneca Longhouse and surrounding landscape. By clicking on objects, they learn about Indigenous knowledge and language. Watch this short introductory video<\/a> to learn more about the project and its teaching applications.<\/p>\n
