Using playful satire, her irreverent monologue, co-written with Mish Grigor, recreates an origin myth on stage, recounting personal narratives in relationrelated to dance, art, feminism, desire, love, popular culture, and colonial history. Within a minimalist set design in icy blue and white, Hepi\u2019s dance acts as history keeper weaving fact and fiction, memoir and ethnography.\u00a0<em>Rinse<\/em>\u00a0is an audience favourite wherever it is performed!<\/p>\n<p>Amrita Hepi is a First Nations dance artist from Bundjalung (Aus) and Ng\u0101puhi (NZ) territories and trained at NAISDA Dance College and Alvin Ailey NYC. Her work crosses the boundaries of visual art, dance, and performance, and is critically acclaimed for its remarkable ability to bridge cultural divides. Director and co-writer Mish Grigor is an artist who works in performance across a range of collaborative formats.
