This in-person workshop will help participants to understand the work that the Centre for Indigenous Support and Community Engagement is doing to support Indigenous students, staff, and faculty on campus. The workshop will include an overview of the historical context, which has impacted contemporary relationships between Indigenous Peoples and academic institutions. Participants will also learn to effectively integrate strategies for communication and relationship building skills with Indigenous students, and where they can direct Indigenous students to proper resources to better support Indigenous individuals on campus.
