CUAG is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a commemorative exhibit, “Drawing on Our History.” The exhibit will explore contemporary drawing through a diverse lens of Canadian artists invited by guest curators who have previously collaborated with CUAG.<\/p>\n

“Drawing on Our History” will be open from January 29 to May 7, 2023.<\/p>\n

The exhibition features the work of Sharon Norwood (invited by Kosisochukwu Nnebe), Kablusiak (invited by Heather Igloliorte), Jagdeep Raina (invited by Anna Khimasia), Nalakwsis (invited by Alexandra Kahsenni:io Nahwegahbow), Marigold Santos (invited by Alice Ming Wai Jim), Jay Odjick (invited by Danielle Printup), M\u00e9lanie Myers (invited by Heather Anderson) and Gayle Uyagaqi Kabloona (invited by Sandra Dyck).<\/p>\n

The exhibit’s opening will be celebrated with a launch party on January 29, 2023<\/a> from 2:00PM to 4:30PM EST.<\/p>\n

Opening remarks at 3:00 p.m. by Elder Claudette Commanda and Dr. Benoit-Antoine Bacon, President of Carleton University (with ASL translation). The gallery will be providing light refreshments and the event will be DJ’d by MusicbyJayel.<\/p>\n
