TEST YOUR IDEA | START YOUR BUSINESS | BUILD ON YOUR EXISTING COMPANY

Each year, Hatch selects a group of creative, innovative, and hard-working undergraduate students to develop their ideas into a customer-facing startup to strengthen the product or business development streams of their existing businesses.

What is Hatch?

We’re a home for out-of-the-box thinkers and our goal is to help students build their businesses from the ground up.

Hatch is a place where student entrepreneurs, creative minds, and people with different skills meet to leverage each other’s knowledge and expertise. We offer qualifying start-up teams the opportunity to be in our 3-month pre-incubator program where we work with them one on one to flush out their business model, network with professionals, and build their companies.

Why Hatch?

Not only does Hatch give you the opportunity to build out your business idea but it is also eligible for a directive studies credit! Meet with fellow entrepreneurs, network, and engage with investors all while working towards a .5 credit in BUSI4905 or BUSI5905! This option is open to students across all faculties, not just business students!

When does Hatch take place?

The Hatch program launches in January and will span about 12 weeks.

Applications for Winter 2023 are now closed. Thank you to all applicants!
