Over the last couple of years, unpredictability and instability have provided the conditions for business to grapple with unprecedented challenges. Remote workforces were adopted, new business models were tested. As we settle into a new year, our attention turns towards the \u201cnew normal\u201d \u2013 a phrase that pervades boardroom discussions, media headlines, and office conversations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For companies of all sizes, the new normal entails re-thinking how, where, and when work is done. While we learned much from the vast work-from-home experiment, we are now well into a phase where companies are re-imagining their remote work policies and implementing a return to the office. They are, at the same time, grappling with the reality of navigating how their culture and employee preferences align, how to attract talent with critical skills they need to drive better business results and what the \u201coffice\u201d looks like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first TechTuesday of 2024 explores the topic of \u201cback to the office\u201d with a presentation from a subject matter expert that sets the stage for a distinguished panel of HR leaders from local companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stephen Harrington, Deloitte\u2019s National Lead on Workforce Strategy<\/strong> leads transformations in workforce strategy that enable his client\u2019s people to feel personal purpose and impact, as the business drives improved results. Stephen also co-authored the Intelligence Revolution<\/a>, a recent paper covering implication of the future of work in Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
