Daniella is currently completing her third year in Communication and Media Studies undergrad at<\/span><\/span> Carleton University. Previously, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Classical Chinese Dance <\/span><\/span>from Fei Tian College\u2014one of the top schools for dance in the world. She also toured seven <\/span><\/span>times around the world with Shen Yun Performing Arts in over 700 shows. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her studies, Daniella became aware of several human rights issues that were taking <\/span><\/span>place in China but did not receive mainstream media attention. She became interested in using <\/span><\/span>the news to spread awareness and did multiple internships in media companies. She also <\/span><\/span>noticed many individuals, especially youth, lack interest in news media and what it can offer. <\/span><\/span>This inspired her to build her start-up Savvy, which is a news media company that uses <\/span><\/span>modern technology and up-to-date styles to cater to young news consumers.
