Gerardo Maldonado-Jimenez is a fourth-year History and Theory of Architecture student, <\/span><\/span>with a Minor in Arts Management at Carleton University. Inspired by novelty and driven by <\/span><\/span>curiosity, he is passionate about change, arts and culture, the built environment, solving <\/span><\/span>problems, connecting with people, and finding order in chaos. <\/span><\/span>With a strong interest in hospitality and luxury retail, Gerardo seeks to become an architect <\/span><\/span>with a real estate portfolio in hotels and resorts, arts institutions, luxury residential units, <\/span><\/span>and heritage properties in North America and Europe. Currently, his interests lie in human <\/span><\/span>resources, management, environmental sustainability, and architectural history and theory <\/span><\/span>relating to luxury commercial and residential planning. <\/span><\/span>Recently, Gerardo has been involved at the university as the Co-President for the History <\/span><\/span>and Theory of Architecture Society and Paul Minton Centre (PMC) Volunteer Mentor. <\/span><\/span>Together, these opportunities provide a platform to inspire, engage, and uplift students <\/span><\/span>through managing their degrees and disabilities, respectively, with a compassionate and <\/span><\/span>professional approach.
