WHAT IS JDCC?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

JDCC, also known as Jeux du Commerce Central<\/strong>, is the largest undergraduate regional business school case competition where students from business school across Canada compete to win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organized by CABS (Canadian Association of Business Students<\/strong>), JDCC teams work hard in preparation for the multi-day weekend away at a hosting schools campus. Through the categories listed below, school’s acquire points based on academics, sport, socials, charity, and volunteering, which is summed up to determine the ranking of each participating school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT ARE THE CATEGORIES?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

ACADEMICS<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Case cracking and presentation from the following disciplines: Business Strategy, Accounting, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Digital Strategy, International Business, and Entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SPORT<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Two sports are selected for every competition. One of which is known earlier in the fall and the other is left as a surprise and announced closer to the competition weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DEBATE<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A parliamentary style debate where schools go head-to-head about topics announced at the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOCIAL<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Teams of 4 participate in randomized challenges at various points throughout the weekend for the social competition. These include improvisation, debates, dances, surprise case resolutions and many more. Within these challenges, points are awarded for enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and quality of makeshift costumes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
