Biography<\/h2>\n

Amr El Mougy is currently an assistant professor at the German University in Cairo, Cairo, Egypt. He is the head of the IoT lab and is currently leading several projects such as an IoT Testbed for Smart Energy Management,<\/em> Networked Appliances, Applications, and Sensing Systems for the Smart City<\/em>, and iTram: an Information and Communication Technology Framework for Intelligent Transportation Systems, <\/em>among others. Before that, Amr El Mougy was a post-doctoral fellow at Ottawa University, Ottawa, Canada, where he managed a research project on LTE-based public safety networks. Amr received his PhD from Queen\u2019s University, Kingston, Canada in 2013 and his MSc degree from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada in 2006. He has co-authored several book chapters and has over 30 publications. Amr has also participated as TPC member in several leading IEEE conferences and workshops such as WCNC, VTC, and LCN.<\/p>\n
