Dr. Oludamini Ogunnaike is an Associate Professor of African Religious Thought and Democracy at the University of Virginia. He is the author of Deep Knowledge: Ways of Knowing in Ifa and Tijani Sufism, Two West African Intellectual Traditions (PSU Press, 2020) and Poetry in Praise of Prophetic Perfection: A Study of West African Madīḥ Poetry and its Precedents (ITS, 2020). He is currently working on monographs on Africana Philosophy for Equinox press, Islamic philosophy in West Africa, and trans-Atlantic decolonial theory.
