Dear Students

We are writing to express our sincere condolences for all of those impacted by Cyclone Idai that recently struck Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Malawi, and to offer our support to any of our students whom may be affected.

The far reaching impacts of a devastating natural disaster such as this can be very emotional and overwhelming. The staff at the International Student Services Office (ISSO) and Carleton University recognize this, and are here to offer any supports that you may need in the wake of this event.

Further, we wish to remind students of the availability of Health and Counselling Services on campus for those whom wish to speak with a counsellor. You can call their office to make an appointment (613-520-6674), or access their same-day/walk-in clinic hours (Monday to Friday 11am to 4pm in the main clinic located at 2600 Carleton Technology and Training Centre Building). For more information on Carleton’s counselling services please see the Health and Counselling Services website.

The ISSO team is here for you and happy to connect you with any resources that you may need.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us for any additional guidance and support.

Regards,

The ISSO Team
