Social Programming Updates

New Social Media Handles: Ravens Student Life 

The International Student Services Office (ISSO) and Student Experience Office (SEO) are proud to present… Ravens Student Life!

This new social channel will function as a dedicated space for your student life programs, contests, and events. As a result, the @Carletonisso Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook page will be going offline.

Introducing the Global PALS

The Global PALS (Peer Advisors Lending Support) Program provides incoming and current international students with the opportunity to connect with an upper year student who can provide insights and support as you navigate social, cultural, and academic life at Carleton University and in Ottawa. Global PALS can support you in navigating Ottawa and Carleton resources, student support services, involvement opportunities, Canadian culture, and much more. Canada Day Events 

July 1st marks Canada Day, Canada’s national holiday. This year, the Government of Canada is offering ways to celebrate virtually, with online concertsactivity kitsand events hosted around the world. 

The ISSO will be hosting a special Canada Day edition of Canadian Tea Time on June 30th, featuring trivia and prizes, as well as a Canada Day Photo Scavenger Hunt. Join us to learn, reflect, and celebrate! 

UHIP Updates

Your Summer UHIP Coverage

If you were registered in a degree program for the 2019-2020 academic year, your UHIP is valid until August 31, 2020.  If you are returning to classes in Fall, your UHIP will be reinstated as of September 1, 2020.

The ISSO recognizes that the uncertainty of this evolving situation is particularly difficult for our international student community. We’ve prepared a COVID-19 FAQ to provide with the latest answers and information to address your concerns.
