Please, be aware and be cautious as to avoid being a victim of a scam. Some phone and email scams can include:

  •   Someone claiming to be from the Tax Agency
  •   Someone inquiring about your Social Insurance Number (SIN)
  •   Employment opportunities
  •   Someone claiming to be from Immigration Refugees Citizenship and Canada (IRCC)

Do NOT provide any personal information. Do not respond to any of these phishing scams. If you suspect a phone scam, hang up immediately. If you suspect an email scam, do not respond but please forward the email to us at isso@carleton.ca  so we can inform Information Technology Services (ITS). More information from the Office of Student Affairs can be found on their website.
