Best part of being in Ottawa: Ottawa has a combination of being both a big city and a small country, a political capital and a cultural centre. It really suits everyone, whatever they are looking for. It just feels like home and comfortable. It is simple but enchanting.
Advice for new international students: Stay connected and be open-minded and curious. There will be times that are challenging: don’t be afraid to reach out to your loved ones for help. With an open mind and curiosity, you will soon discover the beauty of every culture and make many new connections. Don’t forget to enjoy every little bit of your journey here at Carleton.
