Advice for New International Students: Remember that building community and having a strong support system is an important part of succeeding at university. There are so many ways to get involved like joining a club, talking to support services on-campus, or volunteering. Another piece of advice that’s important to consider when you start something new is to give yourself time. You need to give yourself the time and the space to get used to a new place and situation, and so you shouldn’t feel pressured to figure out how to do everything in your first semester.
