Hobbies: Whenever I can, I try to go out and take pictures. Shooting, editing and sharing, every step is something that I personally love to do. Traveling is something that I try to do as much as I possibly can. Getting to know the world we live in and really expanding our view further than just where we come from is very important. Traveling also gives me the opportunity to meet so many different people with such different stories, which always makes for a good conversation.
Best part of being in Ottawa: Winterlude and the frozen canal is the highlight of living in Ottawa for me. Not only does it give you a reason to go out, even if it’s cold, but it is also a great opportunity to experience things that you might not be able to in other cities/countries. Ottawa also hosts Ribfest every year, which is a huge perk if you are a foodie like me.
Advice for new international students: Get involved! Truly try to diversify in what and how you get involved in on campus. Participate in the various orientation activities that are planned for incoming students but take it a step further as well. Get involved in your program and with the many student-run associations that Carleton has.
