The canal divides Ottawa\u2019s downtown core and is primarily used for pleasure boating in the summer and skating in the winter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rent a Bike\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Rideau Canal is lined by bike paths, making bike riding a popular tourist activity in the summer. VeloGo is Ottawa\u2019s official bike share service. To use a <a href=\"https:\/\/gohopr.com\/velogo\/\">VeloGo bike<\/a>, download the HOPR Tranist App. The cost of this service is $1 to start a ride and $0.16 per minute.\u00a0Bike and accessory rentals are also available from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rentabike.ca\">RentABike<\/a> located on the Rideau Canal beneath Rideau St. across from the historic Chateau Laurier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kayaking\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The National Capital Region has several options for guided white-water rafting and kayaking tours for all skill levels. \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/owlrafting.com\/trips-and-packages\/?intensity=low-intensity&amp;package=day-trip\">Owl Rafting<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.riverrunrafting.com\">River Run Rafting<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wildernesstours.com\">wilderness tours<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Nordik Spa Naturelle\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/chelsea.lenordik.com\/en\">Nordik Spa Naturelle<\/a> is an expansive outdoor Spa located 20 minutes from downtown Ottawa in Chealsea, Quebec. With both overnight and day options, Nordik uses a thermal cycle including 4 cold baths, 9 saunas and a variety of relaxation areas. Nordik also offers a variety of massages and body treatments.
