GETTING AROUND OTTAWA<\/h3>\n

Shuttle service<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Shuttle service will be provided to and from the conference hotels and the conference venue at Richcraft Hall, Carleton University. Delegates staying at the ARC hotel are asked to walk 2 minutes<\/a> westward along Slater street to pick up the shuttle in front of the Alt. The shuttle schedule is as follows:<\/p>\n

Public transit<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you miss the shuttle service, consider taking public transit. A single fare<\/a> is $3.50 (Canadian) in exact change. Buses typically run every 15 minutes and the trip between the hotels and conference venue is roughly 30 minutes. Follow this quick guide<\/a> for our suggested routes. Walking to\/from the Opening Reception at the NAC<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The National Arts Centre<\/a> (NAC) is located on Elgin and Albert street. It is a short 5-10 minute walk from the hotels. The opening reception will take place in the O\u2019Born Room on the Terrace Level of the NAC.<\/p>\n

Walking to\/from the Conference Dinner at the Canadian Museum of History<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Canadian Museum of History<\/a> is located on Laurier street across the river from Parliament Hill. It is a roughly 35 minute walk from the hotels.<\/p>\n

Driving<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Uber and Lyft: ride sharing services requiring a smartphone app.<\/p>\n

Taxi: Blue Line Tax service can be reached at +613-238-1111.<\/p>\n

GETTING TO OTTAWA<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Travel documentation<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Please ensure that you have obtained all necessary documentation to travel to Canada. A valid passport is required for residents of all countries, including the US. If you are not a Canadian or US citizen, you will also require either an Electronic Travel Authorization<\/a> (eTA<\/strong>) or a visa<\/strong>. Click here<\/a> to determine which of these you require. An eTA can be applied for online, costs $7 CAD, and is often approved within minutes.<\/p>\n

By Air <\/strong><\/h4>\n

Located just 20 minutes from downtown Ottawa, the Ottawa International Airport<\/a> serves airlines offering flights from major cities in Canada, the Eastern US, and select cities in Europe. The hotels can be reach by bus (#97), taxi, or ridesharing alternative.\\<\/p>\n

By Train<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Canada\u2019s passenger train service VIA Rail<\/a> is a comfortable and affordable travel choice for those traveling within Canada. This option is recommended for travellers coming from (or flying into) major cities in Southern Ontario or Quebec.
