The iTeam<\/a> is a volunteer<\/strong> employee-initiative, which works with ITS and Mobile Services, to bring together members of the Carleton community <\/strong>who use iPhones & iPads on campus. We maintain this How-To library, and offer custom workshops to your department or faculty, on request by contact form<\/a> or email: iteam@carleton.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Determine\u00a0which\u00a0<\/strong>version of\u00a0IOS<\/a>, which\u00a0iPad<\/a>, &\u00a0which\u00a0iPhone<\/a>\u00a0you have.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Reset<\/a><\/strong> or restart your iPhone, iPad.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Name<\/a><\/a> your device, secure<\/strong> with a passcode<\/a><\/a>, set up Find My IPhone<\/a><\/a>\u2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Configure Carleton<\/strong>‘s WiFi<\/a>, VPN<\/a> (more<\/a>), email: staff\/faculty<\/a>, students<\/a>, W-drives<\/a> (more<\/a>) <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Read<\/strong><\/a> books<\/a> on your iPad\/iPhone (or iPad\/iPhone manuals<\/a>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Type notes in iOS Notes app<\/a> (Use iCloud sync to access<\/a> from any PC\/Mac). <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Read and Edit MicroSoft Office<\/strong> files<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Handwrite<\/a><\/strong> Notes<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Print<\/a><\/strong> from your iPad\/iPhone. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Backup using iCloud<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. Update iOS<\/a> (more<\/a>). <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  12. Connect<\/strong> a projector<\/a> to your iPad\/iPhone. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  13. Share your PC\/Mac screen<\/strong> to your iPad<\/a> <\/strong>(RDP\/VNC client for iPad)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
