Technology is important to student success and Information Technology Services are here to help.

Here are the top six IT services and websites that, as a new student, you should be familiar with:

1. Your MyCarletonOne Account

Use this account to access a number of IT services, including logging into the MyCarleton Portal, Carleton’s wireless network and computer labs on campus.   You’ll set up this account through Carleton Central.  Learn more about your MyCarletonOne account >>

2. Your Carleton Email

When you set up your MyCarletonOne account, you will be granted your Carleton Email.  This is your official Carleton University email account that the university will use to communicate important information to you.   Learn more about your Carleton Email account >>

3. Free Microsoft Office

Microsoft is offering students in select educational institutions, including Carleton University, the MS Office software suite, at no charge while they are at Carleton.  Learn more about how to download MS Office for free >>

4. MyCarleton Portal

Once you set up your MyCarletonOne account, you’ll be able to login to the MyCarleton Portal via the Current Student website.  This is where you’ll go to access your Carleton Email, Carleton Central, and cuLearn.  You’ll also find personalized campus announcements here.  Learn more about the MyCarleton Portal >>

5. Wireless on Campus

Chances are you’ll be coming onto campus with some sort of mobile device, be it a laptop or a smartphone.  To access the wireless network for the first time, go to wireless.carleton.ca and follow the prompts.  You’ll use your MyCarletonOne username and password to login in.   Learn more about wireless on campus >>
