Duo is now available for all Carleton staff and faculty. Duo is a two-factor authentication solution aimed at protecting our accounts from illicit login attempts.
Congratulations to Michael Radcliffe in Campus Safety Services for winning the December draw! He set up Duo on his MyCarletonOne account and won $100 on his Campus Card.
We have a second $100 Campus Card prize up for grabs. Set up Duo before January 31st at https://i.carleton.ca/its/duo/ to be entered into the draw . If you are one of the 500 individuals already set up with Duo, rest assured, your name will be added to the draw as well. A third and final draw will be held in February, so the earlier you set up Duo, the more draws you qualify for.
To Prepare for Duo
Staff/faculty email is a Duo-protected service. As such, when your MyCarletonOne account is Duo-enabled, your email program needs to be able to respond to two-factor authentication prompts.
- On a PC: you need to use Outlook 2016 (this is already pre-installed on ITS-managed PCs)
- On a Mac: you need to use Outlook 2016 or Mac OS 10.14’s mail.app
- Android phone or tablet: You need to install the MS Outlook app if you read Carleton email on your Android
- iPhone or iPad: you need to use the iOS 11’s built in mail app or install the MS Outlook app
