Activate your Carleton Student Email (CMAIL)
New to Carleton? To get your Carleton Email you will need to activate your MyCarletonOne account through Carleton Central.
Configure your email on iPhone
In addition to accessing your Carleton Email via the MyCarleton Portal website, you can also use the email client software built into your smartphone or available on your personal computer.
Default iPhone Mail setup
- Open Settings app
- Press: Mail
- Press: Accounts
- Press: Add Account…
- Press: Microsoft Exchange
- Enter your:
Email: JaySmith@cmail.carleton.ca ← Use your full Carleton email address
Username: JaySmith@cmail.carleton.ca ← Use your full Carleton email address
Password: your MyCarletonOne password
Description: JaySmith@cmail or anything else you like to identify this account
- Press: Next
Server: outlook.office365.com ← this should be autofilled; if not, enter outlook.com
- Press: Next
By default, syncing of your Mail, Contacts, Calendars and Reminders to your iPhone is enabled. You can disable any of these here, if you wish.
- Press: Save
- Your Accounts are shown;
- Press: JaySmith@cmail
By default your iPhone syncs just the last 3 days of your Carleton Student Email, and pushes just your Inbox to your iPhone. Here you can override these settings.
- Press your iPhone’s Home button; and Open Mail app
Your JaySmith@cmail Inbox and Account will be shown
