This step ensures Windows uses your MC1 credentials when connecting to the printer. Mostly the fields can be left as is, but change the printer\u00a0<strong>Model<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0<strong>C258<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Forward<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Fill out form <strong>&#8212; Apply\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Print Test Page<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/p><\/dd><dl><\/div>\n<div class=\"slideme\"><dl class=\"slideme__list\"><dt class=\"slideme__term\"><a href=\"#slideme-confidential-printing\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"slideme-confidential-printing\" class=\"slideme__heading slideme__trigger\">Confidential Printing<\/a><\/dt><dd class=\"slideme__description\" id=\"slideme-confidential-printing\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><p><\/p>\n<p>This queue prints to <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/theprintshop\/newfleet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Print Shop&#8217;s<\/a> Konica Minolta Multi Factor Printers (MFA).<\/p>\n<p>In a standard printing environment, a user&#8217;s jobs are sent directly to the printer for immediate printing. This results in wasted paper and toner when printing is forgotten and not collected. It also presents a security risk if those forgotten jobs were sensitive or confidential. The Confidential Printing queue provides a simple solution that places your jobs in a holding state until you authenticate\u00a0and releases the job at any Konica Minolta printer. You may select individual jobs to release after successful authentication with your Campus Card at the Printer. \u00a0Print jobs will be held in a queue for 12 hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Confidential Printing offers:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Secure printing<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; sensitive jobs will not sit uncollected on the printer. Jobs only print when released by the user.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Follow-Me\u00a0printing<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; provides a roaming print solution where users print to a single queue and jobs will be &#8220;pulled&#8221; to any printer where they authenticate.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reduced wastage<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; no more uncollected jobs. No wasted paper or toner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your print job will not be released to the printer until the user swipes their Campus Card, enters their credentials, or UserID and PIN.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adding the ConfidentialPrinting queue<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To add the ConfidentialPrinting queue to your computer, follow the instructions above for your OS type, and use ConfidentialPrinting as the printer name.
