Students requiring VPN access visit this information site<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Virtual Private Network (VPN) client software is required for access to Carleton University resources that are restricted to on-campus use.\u00a0 It provides a secure encrypted channel from your home to the campus and allows access to many campus resources.<\/b><\/p>\n

Multifactor authentication (MFA)\u00a0is required when using the Cisco AnyConnect Security Mobility Client.\u00a0Read more<\/a>.

By default Students<\/span> do not<\/strong> get VPN access, any Student requiring VPN access will need to request access<\/a><\/p>\n

* Note: The\u00a0<\/em>Connection Server address is cuvpn.carleton.ca\/mfa<\/strong><\/p>\n

Install VPN on ITS-Imaged Staff PCs (CUNET Domain)<\/h2>\n

You can install the Cisco client using the Software Center<\/strong> on ITS-imaged PCs that are members of the CUNET domain<\/strong> without the need for administrative rights.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Note:<\/strong><\/em> This must be done while the computer is on campus with a wired network connection<\/p>\n

Use Software Center<\/h3>\n

  1. Type software center<\/strong> in the search tool on the taskbar of your computer, and click to open the Software Center.<\/li>\n
  2. On the applications<\/strong> menu on the left-hand side, you will see the Cisco Secure Client<\/strong>, click on it and choose Install<\/strong>\n
