Students requiring VPN access visit this information site<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Virtual Private Network (VPN) client software is required for access to Carleton University resources that are restricted to on-campus use. It provides a secure encrypted channel from your home to the campus and allows access to many campus resources.<\/p>\n

Multifactor authentication (MFA)<\/strong><\/span> is required when using the Cisco AnyConnect Security Mobility Client.\u00a0Read more<\/a>.<\/p>\n

By default Students<\/span> do not<\/strong> get VPN access, any Student requiring VPN access will need to request access<\/a><\/p>\n

Installing VPN for MacOS<\/h2>\n

  1. Go to: https:\/\/cuvpn.carleton.ca\/mfa<\/a> and login with your MC1 Username and Password<\/strong>.

  2. On the following page, click Continue<\/strong>.

    \n<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Click on the Download for macOS<\/strong> button.\"\"<\/li>\n
  4. Open the Cisco Secure Client <\/strong>file you just downloaded, and it will present the .dmg package<\/strong>:\"\"<\/li>\n
  5. The Install Cisco Secure Client<\/strong> window will appear, click on Continue<\/strong> and accept the<\/strong>
    \nLicense agreement<\/strong>.\"\"<\/li>\n
  6. In some circumstances depending on your computer system configuration, automatic installation may fail and you will be prompted to manually download installer package. Click AnyConnect VPN<\/strong>\u00a0to continue. Depending on your browser:\n
