Students requiring VPN access will need to follow these steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Note:\u00a0 Only current students can request VPN access, alumni do not get VPN access.<\/p>\n

Step 1:\u00a0 Install Microsoft Authenticator<\/h2>\n

If you already have the Microsoft Authenticator app installed on your mobile device proceed to Step 2.<\/p>\n

  1. Start by installing the Microsoft Authenticator app<\/a> to your mobile device.<\/li>\n
  2. There is no need to open the app at this step in the process.<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Step 2. Configure Microsoft Authenticator<\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. Go to https:\/\/aka.ms\/mysecurityinfo<\/a><\/li>\n
    2. Sign in using your @cmail.carleton.ca account credentials<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>\"\"<\/li>\n
    3. Click ‘+ Add sign-in method’, then click ‘Authenticator App’ in the drop-down menu and follow the steps that are listed, then proceed to Step 3.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Step 3. Call the Service Desk<\/h2>\n
        \n
      1. Contact the ITS Service Desk<\/a> by phone to verify your ID at 613-520-3700<\/strong> to finish the setup process.<\/li>\n
      2. Please note access can only be granted between 8:30 and 4:30 Mon – Fri<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Step 4. Configure Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client<\/h2>\n

        If you need to download & install the VPN client, go to https:\/\/cuvpn.carleton.ca\/mfa<\/a>. Enter your Cmail address, and you will be redirected to log in with your MC1 Username <\/strong>and Password.\u00a0 Chromebook\u00a0<\/strong>users can go to the Google Play Store<\/a>, search for and install the Cisco Secure Client (AnyConnect)<\/strong> app.<\/p>\n
